How it Works

Becoming an Attentive Healthcare Professional
Attentive Healthcare takes pride in its name. We want to be attentive to you! As a small, nurse-owned and operated company, we hope you will find a special warmth and concern we have for you. Our goal is to assure that you're well taken care of. We recruit individuals who have clinical knowledge, proficiency and professionalism, who exude confidence and love adventure.

Our process is simple.
1. You can call us and we'll send you an application, or download one online or fill out one online. (You are under no obligation to accept an assignment after filling out an application.)
2. As soon as we receive your application, one of our recruiters, all of whom have been traveling nurses themselves, will contact you to get started.
3. We will interview you to assess your skills and ascertain your needs.
4. Then, our staff will search for a perfect assignment and facility to meet your needs.
5. We will guide you on your new adventure and be there for you every step of the way.

Top pay
Attentive Healthcare travelers are some of the highest paid in the industry. We provide a competitive compensation package in addition to our valuable benefits package.

Free private housing
At Attentive Healthcare, we pride ourselves in finding housing that best fits your needs. We offer free fully furnished housing with utilities paid or a stipend for those who prefer to stay elsewhere. We want you to enjoy your stay, and are happy to accommodate you with extra bedrooms and furniture upgrades at a marginal cost, as well as providing for your four-legged buddies. Customization is a priority for our housing department. All you have to do is decide what you'd like. Then we'll get to work finding a place you can call "home."

Paid medical and dental insurance
We're proud to offer one of the top insurance plans for healthcare travelers in the industry. Attentive Healthcare pays 100 percent of premium expenses for your medical and dental insurance. Our group medical plan also minimizes out-of-pocket expenses, while meeting a wide range of your healthcare needs.

Travel reimbursement
Whether you travel by plane, train or automobile, you'll receive a generous travel reimbursement for every assignment. Depending on the contract, we'll give you either a mileage allowance or a flat reimbursement fee. We also offer free AAA road coverage.

Licensing reimbursement up to $100
Attentive Healthcare will pay half of your licensing fees (up to $100).

Bonuses
We offer bonuses for the majority of assignments. Attentive Healthcare rewards your hard work on the successful completion of your first contract and every contract thereafter. Your bonuses can increase to $1000 for your loyalty. We appreciate your help!

Refer a friend
If you refer a healthcare professional who completes an assignment, you'll be eligible to receive a $250 bonus, whether you travel with Attentive Healthcare or not.

Free malpractice insurance
AHC provides professional liability and workmen's compensation insurance for all employees that are on assignment. If the situation arrives in which you are involved in a workmen's compensation claim or medical malpractice, please notify AHC right away.

Direct deposit and 401k planning
Attentive Healthcare provides the assurance of direct deposit, so you'll always have the convenience of putting your payroll check directly into the bank of your choice. While you're working on assignments where Attentive Healthcare provides the payroll, you'll also be eligible for our 401k plan.

Paid vacation
Every 1000 hours worked after a year's employment at Attentive Healthcare grants you 1 week paid vacation. The hourly rate of your vacation pay will be that of your most recent AHC assignment. You will be able to use your earned vacation days only between assignments. Enjoy, you deserve it!

Attentive Healthcare knows the importance of being there for you. That's why we're committed to being accessible and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have an emergency, there will always be a live friendly voice on the line to connect you with a staff member who can resolve your problem or simply be there to listen. Remember, all of our recruiters have been traveling clinicians themselves, so we know the importance of being "attentive."
